SouthWest Nano Technologies has developed a new patterning technology named Agent for producing transparent conductive touch screens. Agent uses two different types of nano-structured materials. First unpatterned silver nanowires are applied to a clear plastic substrate. The desired conductive circuitry is then printed using a carbon nanotube (CNT) ink. To complete the process a wet-wiping process is then used to remove the silver structures from areas not patterned with CNTs.
