Eden Innovation (ASX:EDE) has been advised by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) about the required changes for its highway concrete repair mix to facilitate the use of EdenCrete.

EdenCrete is a carbon-strengthened concrete additive to improve the performance of concrete used in the construction and maintenance of concrete roads, bridges and other infrastructure.

Eden’s shares were last trading 7.14% higher intra-day on Friday, at A$0.30.

The new specifications enable GDOT engineers to specify the use of EdenCrete in GDOT projects utilising Eden’s 24-hour Accelerated Strength Concrete repair mix and also its Class B concrete.

Last month, the company received its first European order for 1000 gallons of EdenCrete worth US$25,000, which will be shipped from Eden’s Colorado plant.

The order has been received from a significant European construction company that specialises in pre-cast and prefabricated construction throughout Eastern Europe.

The construction company has associations in the U.S., and the order comes after its U.S. associates had assessed EdenCrete and achieved encouraging results.

Eden is planning to export EdenCrete that is to be produced at its proposed production facility in Georgia, U.S. through the Port of Savannah, and open up the global market for EdenCrete.
